    The title of the thread is slightly misleading - I meant to say 'Damp' rather than "dam" :-)

    Any problem having different SS alloys in contact in a damp saltwater environment? Specifically, I'd like to put a 316 collar on a 431 propshaft - but I won't do so if the different alloys could lead to galvanic corrosion.
