Normally, there is one set of flange for class break, let says: different pressure, or different material.... Does anybody know what the reason is? Do we have to need this set of flange?

    PSV Discharge Reducer

thanks for all replies. MortenA, If there is a vent valve right after reducer, is it still prefered using an eccentric top flat reducer?

    PSV Discharge Reducer

I am sorry I should have provided more detial information. This PSV is dicharged into a closed system, reducer is to increase discharge pipe size. Thanks!

    Hydrolic tensioning space

Do we need provide more space than usual for piping connection when hydrolic tensioning is supposed to use for large bolts? for example, P&ID shows 10" flanged valve and 12x10 reducer, shoud I connect piping as 10" flanged valve, 200 mm pup, then 12x10 reducer? or between flanged valve and...

    dimension on piping ISO drawing

thanks Mikehalloran. I know round dimension looks nicer, my question "do we have to?" in fab and construction, people prefer round number on iso overall dimension or single component (fitting dimension is fixed, only non-fitting dimension is variablle)?

    dimension on piping ISO drawing

Do we have to ensure the dimensions on ISO drawing is even? for example, from equipment nozzle to elbow should be 2300mm instead of 2297mm; control valve station from one elbow to another elbow should be 4200mm instead of 4186mm? etc... thank you!

    nipple

thanks for your reply pennpiper, I am still confused. let's say 1" NPS pipe, we use pipe only for short distance (4" or 6"), if it is not in vent, drain connection. We don't use nipple in this cae. Do you know the reason?

    nipple

I meant normally we use nipple for vent, drain, and instrument branch, but don't use it in other place. what's the reason?

    nipple

Is there anybody know why we don't use nipple in inline piping? thanks,

Thanks for your reply, zdas04. Is this mean pig valve can not work independently without launcher and receiver? I am sorry for my understanding.
