    How to say AASHTO classifications

    Hi, I am wondering how to say AASHTO classifications. For example A-7-6 (9) could be said as: "A dash 7 dash 6 parentheses 9". But I imagine that there is a more concise way of saying it. Perhaps A 7 6 dash 9? What is typical for the spoken form of these classifications? Thanks!
