Thanks for your feedback,
For sure there's insulation on all suction piping. It is almost 2inches thick in piping of diameter 3 inches.
Pump flow rate is about 10 m3/hr.
I will try to have more details of the piping isometrics, insulation caracteristics,..
I was just wondering if it is a know...
Dear All,
I'm looking for some information on how to design a suction piping for two centrifugal pumps connected to a common header and a suction tank. When both pumps run together, both run fine. As soon as you stop one pump, the second pump starts to have some problems after sone minutes and...

I agree with your statement, but is there a specific technical reason to have the duplex casting gr 4A unassigned whereas : pipe, fitting and forge are all P10H?
Hi,
We're using a PQR qualified with seamless pipe in duplex (S31803) : P10h-P10H. Our customer doesn't agree that we use this PQR to weld a pipe of duplex to a casting of the same grade (ASTM A890 gr 4A). The reason is that duplex casting has no P-number, so it should be separately qualified...
Hello,
NACE MR 0175 states that hardness must be check on the PQR for carbon steel welding and should not exceed 22 HRC without PWHT. NACE MR 0103 states both value 22 HRC and 200HB and refers also to NACE RP 472 wich not define clearly a precise value.
How to be sure on which value we have to...
