    Thanks! I like the answer. I guess after working with welded 6061 aluminum plates, I expect some sort of similar strength reduction in A572 when heated. Could you point me to a reference that discusses this topic?

    Hello! I am welding a 1" plate to a 1/2" plate. Both materials are A572-50. Will the HAZ become annealed? What is the strength in the HAZ? Thanks!
