Are there any disadvantages of using multiratio CT's for substation protection? The possibility of selecting different ratios adds ofcourse flexibiliy, but is there a negative side? Any protections that do not work well with multiratio (high impedance?)?
The de-Q ring adds additional losses (damping) to the reactor in a similar way to a parallell connected resistor. It is typically used in HV filter applications to add damping to the filter.
I'm considering using a high voltage (33 kV) fuse for protection. Can anyone suggest a good manufacturer with web-page for more information. I never used a HV fuse before.
