    Stretching/forming question

Yeah you're right on the money there. I went ahead and just sketched some arcs and kept mvoing things around a bit until I got it to fit withing the parameters I needed. Juggling around a little math and a few test sketches I was able to get it to 15.62" without much difficulty and given what...

    Stretching/forming question

I'm trying to perform what I thought was a simple sketch proceedure and I'm running into a road block. I'm trying to take a 5" circle(sketch) and distort/stretch it into a teardrop shape but I need to maintan the circumference(using SW 2010). Is this even possible or am I just making it up in...

Draft or Loft extruded-cut in SW?

It's just funny because I've been using Solidworks for many years now and have never opened up the "cut" tab under the insert drop menu, despite going into that drop file hundreds of times. Just shows how much you get into a routine with things that you fail to notice the rest of the program...

Draft or Loft extruded-cut in SW?

If one needs a better visual of what I'm asking, I whipped up this quick render and put it to a jpeg image. I'm looking to "extruded-cut" from the one circle sketch to the sqaure sketch on the outer block surface. http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o285/Boxxersix/cut.jpg thanks!

Draft or Loft extruded-cut in SW?

I did some searching for this but didn't come across much information, likely due to the fact that I really don't even know what to call this "process". I used SW version 2006. Hoping to step up to 2010 at some point in the near future but that's for other discussion. I'm trying to perform an...
