NX8 Drafting - option to make the diameter and radius leader lines longer

I want to change the following two things that NX 8 defaults to for drafting mode: 1. Change the radius and diameter dimensions from having fixed length leaders to whatever length I like. Normally I click the hole, move the mouse where I want the dimension to be and then left click again to...

    Measurement points on drawings

Are the points you added on the reference set that is called in the drawing? In the part that has the points go to Format > Reference Set. Click on "Model" in the list and make sure the points are selected. If not then select them. Your load options likely have the model reference set loaded...

Flat Pattern for sheet metal parts not showing up in drawing of assembly

In 5 years I've never noticed the "Part" drop down section under the "Base View" dialog. Your instructions get me exactly what I need. Thanks so much!

Flat Pattern for sheet metal parts not showing up in drawing of assembly

I have an assembly with approximately 50% sheet metal details. Our best practice, when creating prints in NX, is to create a drawing of the assembly. When creating prints for individual items of the assembly, I create individual detail views by hiding all of the components in the assembly but...

WCS is very small in size

My company recently gave me a new PC with the same NX7.5 that was on my older PC. The only issue I've had with it is that the WCS is very small. When I zoom out it barely gets bigger. Is there a setting in Preferences to change this? I've looked and I can't find anything.

NX6 - Drafting - Adding database attributes to a table

I can't seem to get any of the assigned database attributes to show up in a table in drafting mode. I type any one of the following commands and I get nothing in the cell and no error: <W$=@$MATERIAL> <W$=@MATERIAL> <W=@MATERIAL> The only "error" I get is after I type in any one of the...

NX6 - Drafting Table with parametrically linked values

Good morning. I have a part in NX that has multiple compound angle surfaces. I have created a print in drafting mode. I want to create a table that shows the first and secondary angles, but has the values parametrically linked to the angles from the model. My original thought was to create...

    Database Attributes Explanation

Ladies and Gentlemen, Can someone please explain the difference between the following database attributes: <W$=@$MATERIAL> <W$=@MATERIAL> <W=@MATERIAL> I've noticed that each of the above three attributes works in certain situations. For example, when in drafting, the second works in a...

NX6 - Angled plane is fixed after creating the plane

Wow, I figured it out just now after months of intermittently have this problem. I didn't have the "Associative" box checked for the plane. Everything works just fine now.

NX6 - Angled plane is fixed after creating the plane

I take it back, I now cannot edit the first angle.

NX6 - Angled plane is fixed after creating the plane

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have NX6 and I regularly design CMM probe bars that have compound angled surfaces. I create a plane and rotate it about an axis. I then rotate another plane about an axis that is aligned to the first plane. Occasionally I run into an issue where I cannot go back and...
