    Small hydraulic valve requiring a CRN?

    I have received a requirement from our Sales Department to provide a CRN (for Alberta province)for a longstanding design of hydraulic needle valve. This is one of a range of valves with sizes up 1". Do I need to follow the full B51 / ASME VIII route or is there an exemption that could help me out?

    Would CSA B51 cover a 1/4" air solenoid valve?????

    Apologies for hi-jacking your post, but could I ask whether this would cover hydraulic valves as well as pneumatic?
