if I understand your question correctley , my pile caps usually seated on grade and according to parctical formula my unsupported length below grade are 4 m( for pile 40*40 ).

WHAT'S THE BEST METHOD FOR SOIL IMPROVING (EXCEPT PILE) IN THIS STATE.

in display force/stress shell elements menu we have 3 choice;
stress averaging:
-none
-all joints
-selected joints
for example "none" deliver the max value of moments...

how can i choose the size of shell elements?
in the using graphic results for design which one should be consider : moments with averaging all joints or non averaging?
