Seeking some knowledge/suggestions:
I basically need a Pressure Compensator, which will be sited in a dry space (hub) in a sub sea application.
But I don't really want to use the ACTUAL pressure of the sea on compensator, as that would mean additional penetrations, which I need to avoid, OR...
I'm planning to use an off the shelf pressure compensator (from Sub-Atlantic, Tecnadyne or similar) to bring the pressure in an oil filled cavity 0.5 bar higher than the seawater pressure on the other side of a seal.
Can anyone advise of the likely failure modes of such a spring based pressure...
