    The bolt was actually part of a shorting assembly, so I do not believe that fatigue was an issue (high cycle or low cycle as there was no evidence of repeated yielding). The connection was overloaded, however no other bolts in the connection failed, all of which should have had a lower strengths.

    I am trying to identify the material of a failed bolt on from a project I'm working on. The construction drawings do not call out any bolts of this type. The bolt is 0.935" diameter, and has the marking TY 10 S on the head. I appreciate any help anyone can provide.
