Thanks for the responses.
Basically, our CHW runs at 6c most of the day at around 5.2 bar.
When the chillers shut down over the weekend the CHW temp can rise as high as 30c on a hot day, which results in pressure rise and water being lost out of the Pressure Release Valve (set to 9.5 bar). What...
Hello All
Please could you offer some expert advice on how to calculate the temperature required to reach 9.5 bar, on a system which normally runs at 5.2 bar at 6 degrees centigrade.
If it makes any difference the chilled water contains approx 25% glycol anti freeze.
Thanks very much...
Hello All,
Do the connections of flow and return make any noticeable difference when connecting a heat exchanger for a CHW system. It has been suggested that the flow on the primary side muat be next to the secondary flow, as opposed to the primary flow next to the secondary return...
Hello Mate,
I think most people would agree an emergency stop is invariably red in colour.
Therefore, a 'normal' stop push button is normally red (in the UK at least).
When an engineer walks into a plantroom and sees all green lights he assumes all is ok and operating normally.
If he sees a red...
Hi All,
This may at first sound like a really basic question.
Does anyone know how manufacturers ensure a single phase motor runs in a specific direction i.e. for a angle grinder/bench drill etc.
And if there is a way of knowing this during motor construction, is it possible to reverse the...
Hi All,
We have 3 x EDP90 UPS(200KVA each) and it is set up as a distributed parallel system.
All of the handles on the maintenance bypass (QS3), on each module have been removed for some reason!
As a result, each module can only be maintained once the input power has been removed.
It looks like...
