    Macro to extract information

I found a solution for my problem by using AdvancedFilter to copy only unique values. With this I can filter the information from the Macros without having to check the materials used.

    Macro to extract information

I’m constantly receiving list of materials in Excel for different products from which I must separate in other format the information, this separation is made by groups of material (there is a column that specifies this). What I want to do is a macro that can automatically separate in...

    Water purging in hydrostatic test

Thank you for your comments; it has given me some idea of how to attack the problem. I’m thinking about sucking as much water as possible with a pump as a first step and blowing dry air through the piping as a second step. My question is: how can I know if my system is dry? How does measuring...

    Water purging in hydrostatic test

How can I purge the water from a piping system with different diameters at the inlet and outlet after doing a hydrostatic test? The system has a manifold that distributes the water to different piping systems. Normally we purged the water by injecting air but that didn’t remove much of the...

    Stress Relieving

Where can I find the time and temperature required for stress relieving a weldment of A36 and A516? Is there a DIN standard?

    Help with weld design

Thanks for the input, One more thing, the structure will be summited to thermal fluctuation from around 75°F to 150°F (Delta_T = 75°F). I calculated the thermal stress ass f=(a)(delta_T)(E) which gave me a 15ksi stress. Would this be relevant for the design?

    Help with weld design

Hi epitome1170, I made a quick draft of what I'm trying to do. The side with the pipe is hard to access when assembled, that is why we want to use slots/plugs. I'm still going to look up the specifications you...

    Help with weld design

Hi, I just been asked to calculate the minimum size required for a slot/plug weld to attach a pipe to a plate. I’ve never designed welds so I’m new at this. I started by reading AWS D1.1 to find the max/min allowed sizes for the slots/plugs. Then, I couldn’t understand how to calculate the...
