Thanks for your reply.
I managed to bottom this out with pure man hours put into it.
1. During the translation from whatever it was originally written in to GXWorks2, the PLC type had changed. I was doing this in the parameters settings, but you have to send this to the PLC for them to...
On a dummy set up with the same rack set up, i've read from in GX developer and same symptoms. No outputs will force on, but if you put an input in the rung and force that, it'll come on??
Yes. 100% in run mode.
If we put an input below a marker (which wont force) then force the input on, the output works.
If we remove that input then try to force output or marker that sets output, it doesnt switch on???
Looking for a bit of help.
Our firm has a section of our machines subbed out to another company. They have a fairly old machine that PLC's battery died and they lost the software.
We've managed to source the software and I was supposed to re-load yesterday. I'm no PLC expert, still learning...
I've been at a breakdown today where a part is spraying water through a calibrated hole which then funnels into a 10mm pipe and via a very intricate measurement unit that is basically 2 x oval cam'd/geared peices in a seat which 1 of the cam's has 2 x magnets which trigger reeds for your PLC...
Hi sams..
I fully understand ladder and how it works. I can fault find someone elses software with relative ease, but when I come to edit a step sequence or something, I struggle.

Hello,
I learned a bit of PLC during my apprenticeship about 10 years ago writing in instruction format in dos on old bosch plcs. Now i'm required to work on mistubishi q-series and fx series on windows and in ladder logic.
I'm fine with the troubleshooting side of it, but editing and...
We've got an issue with one of our leak test sequences in work.
Here's the set up:
Main pressure - regulated - leak tester - leak tight valve (plc operated) - sealed face - welder injection moulded bottle.
After every break or at start up, we get a leak fail. When re-tested, the bottle...
Thank you VERY much for your replies! After a good couple of hours reading through here, it's nice to see such enthusiasm in replies to a forum and not your usual sarcasm that dominates most online forums!
To jraef - The machine is in production as we speak. It's literally an unplug and...
With regards to point 1, I think (from a google search) that the UK & Czech both operate on a 400v @ 50hz 3-phase systems.
I got told in work that they 'most probably' run at 380. Can anyone confirm or deny this.
Regardless, if it was at 380v, could it impact the machine if ran at 400v?
Thanks
Hello,
I'm new to the forum, so sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section! I'm a mid 20's lad due to oversee some machine re-locations from Central Europe (Czech Republic) to the UK. I'm just wondering a few things.
1) If the 3 phase machine in it's current location is running at a...
