Hey,

I'm really new to autocad and just started to pick up the basics. The one thing I couldn't find was how to create from existing model:

* two-point perspective (xy perspective)
* three-point perspective (xyz perspective)

The real perspective that autocad uses is the one-point perspective (railroad closes at horizon).

Second thing I was unable to find was how to make cabinet projection - angle between xy axis 90 and between yz, xz 135 degrees. How can I change projection angles between axis.

I'm just hoping these things can be done with autocad because I'm have to show my works on friday :)

Thanks in advance,
Taavi

If the objects are drawn 3D try "View" "Toolbars" and bullet "3DOrbit" and "View" then experiment.

If you are drawing them yourself, draw in 3D or turn on the UCS toolbar expriment with some buttons and draw in Isometric.

I like 3D better.

Also, get a book or take a classs if possible

You are correct in your post that ACAD is a one point perspective. 3D perspective is mostly used in pictorial drawing which is in the field of drafting. There are three general types of pictorial drawing: axonometric, oblique and perspective. These three differ from another in the fundamental scheme of projection. ACAD can do projections but you have to learn these how to do projections by taking a drafting class.

Hope this helps,

John
