I am looking to find out additional information on Low Carbon 10B21 material. Particularily I am looking for a document which provides the estimated tensile and yield strength of the raw material prior to processing.

Also why is the Boron added to the material. I beleive ai know but I would like some other opinions.

Thank you

Google 10B21, or check a few suppliers websites, anyone who is selling it should be able to get you as recieved properties.

Or just have your supplier send some out for test. They dont cost but ~$100 and are easy to do. i used to work for a lab that promised A2LA certified tensiles (W/ r&n) and chemistries in under 24hours.

The boron increases the hardenability of the normally very shallow hardening 1021 carbon steel.
