st - A 150 / 50 Ton Overhead Crane Structure is dynamically loaded while in motion correct? If so, shouldn't the structure always be classified as dynamic, from the begining of design, fabrication, and erection?
nd - As a follow up inspector for the sub-contractor I've found discrepancies from the sub's draftsman/detailer (ie... hole spacing for various structual connections, all over the structure. Strut beam to column connections hole spacing(4 1/4" gage at column flange, 4 3/8" gage at strut beam connection clips/lugs: Wrong size angle for bracing as per contract drawings, angle toed up instead of down: Top cord angle bracing gusset/connection plates erected underneath the top flange of the trusses, as well as bad weldsand lack of welds : Bottom cord bracing and strut beams erected with the wrong size A325 bolts.
rd - To make the structual members fit, the erectors thermally oversized the holes with an oxy-fuel torch, very poor workmanship!
th - Several columns extremely out of plumb, span out of tolerance according to CMAA, as well as straightness of girders.
th - I'm at a loss, the whole structure has been erected with these problems, can it be repaired or should it be condemned?
