Can anyone help me with the following?

For a metal-clad unit substation, incoming line are 15KV 2/0 cable from O/H line, feeder cables are 4 run of 4c300MCM 1KV cables, both are bottom entry.

How to specify the cable termination? oudoor on the O/H pole and indoor in the switchgear.
Cable boot with cold shrink kit are required? How to fix cable gland and sleeve to the switchgear gaskete?
Do I need cable joints?

Thanks!

Recommended for you

1) If the length of cable to be laid-up is more than what is on the cable drum then you need cable joints.
2) The location of the termination has to be close to disconnector and the cable lugs would be connected to the disconnector studs.
3) For outdoor 15 kV cable you need Raychem EPKT 17B3XOH4 and for indoor EPKT 17B3XIH4 see:
page 28-30.
4) For 1 kV cable you don't need termination. Only 3M tapes to seal moisture ingress.
If you feel you need termination you may use 3.3 kV termination:
Part code: EPKT2052
5)the cable lugs are not included so you have to purchase them separately.
6)For 15 KV cable it is recommended cable lug sealed in order to avoid moisture ingress.
