Hello All

I was just wondering if it is possible to import 1D pipe network results produced by a program such as FloMASTER or Flownex and map it to a 3D FEM domain. Is it worth the effort or are there programs that are designed for this? I am pretty inexperienced when it comes to this. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I do not know if there a specialized solution for mapping of FloMASTER or Flownex in to FEM domain. But for example in ANSYS you can map results (temperatures, pressures etc) from other programs using scripting/programming. In ACT (ANSYS Customization Toolkit) you can program such mapping (= integrate your software to ANSYS Simulation Workflow). There are also other ways it depends what you exactly want to map and how the data for mapping look like.
Regards,
Petr
