We've run into this problem in several occasions. When an ass'y is changed in MS, and we switch to a previously created layout, after it updates, the centerlines and dimensions are "floating" in the original locations. They don't update with the changes made. They are ACAD power dim's, and default AM centerlines. None of them were "drawn", like regular lines. We have to delete the view and recreate it. Problem if it's the parent of many children, with dim's and balloons. Any help????

Not quite sure how you are changing them, but do you apply the Zoom All Viewports (AMVPZOOMALL) after making your changes?

No luck. The lines (AM7, AM4)in question are in PS, not MS. If, when in PS, you try to move, stretch, or grip them to the correct place, you get a message about "annotations reverting to correct location", even though they are in the wrong place. If you go to MS, the lines cannot even be selected.

It sounds like your dimensions are not associative. This means that the dimension values does not change automatically when its defpoints are moved. You can change this option by selecting TOOLS>>OPTIONS and select the USER PREFERENCES tab. When the Make new dimensions associative check box is unchecked, any dimensions drawn do not have associativity. Hope this helps - John

Are you talking about mechanical desktop? If you are then editing sizes of the part can only be in MS. To do so, right-click on the feature you wish to change in the Browser. Once the pop-up menu appears, select Edit. Note that when you pick on the name of feature in the Browser, that feature is highlighted on the screen. Once the change in value of the feature, that the change was not made on screen and in the Browser ExtrusionBlindXX is highlighted. This means the part needs to be updated. Instead of deleting lines and recreating them. Right-click on the line you want to change and select properties. Use the properties window to change linetype. Hope this helps - John
