does anyone seem to know how to get rid of the centerpoints before they are automatically inserted on a print, other than unchecking it in the document properties?
is there some kind of setting that i can't find under system options? or is it more complicated?

any help is appreciated.. :)
Thanks.

I don't understand exactly your problem but, if it's whatI think, you can uncheck View\Temporary Axes and then print and save.

May be another thing: if it's not the temp axes, you can disable automatic centerline creation and centermarks creation in the document properties, Detailing, Auto insert oin view creation, if I remember correctly it is set by default, so you have to deselect it and save your template.

System Options : Drawings has option "Display arc centerpoints". This controls sketch display for drawings separately from model sketches.

That option must be set in in your drawing template.

Locate where your default temlates are stored (and name of..) via TOOLS - OPTIONS - SYSTEM OPTIONS - FILE LOCATIONS

Open up a new drawing, uncheck the centerpoints checkbox and do a save as a new drawing template overwriting the original template.

If you don't change your template, you will have to manually turn them off each each drawing created.

Remember...
"If you don't use your head,
your going to have to use your feet."

ACtually there a couple of things here that may be annoying you, and by your description I am not sure which one you are referring to so here they are:

1. I agree with the above users about the display arc centerpoints (this will show all the centerpoint of the arcs and circles you have shown in a view (TOOLS/OPTIONS/SYSTEM OPTIONS/DRAWINGS/"display arc centerpoints")

OR,

2. You might be seeing the actual centermarks that are applied to the features as the view is created and this is controlled at the document (template) level.. open your drawing template and change the options to not include the centermarks. (TOOLS/OPTIONS/DOCUMENT PROPERTIES/DETAILING.. Make sure that "Center marks" is not selected under the "auto insert on view creation"

hope that helps.

MBShenzi,

Hi there, I agree with what has been posted here. I find having to go into the tions menu to toggle "Arc Centre Point Display" annoying, especially when switching regularly. I have a macro that does it at the click of a button on 2001+, not sure if it will work on 2003, don't see any reason why not. If u post your an email address I will send it to you if u like. djw
