I have a part that has cosmetic threads. The threads show up in the part model and the part drawing. They also show up in the model assy, but they do not show up in the assy drawing. Its the dashed lines (minor of od thd and major of id thd) that do not show up. If I choose SHADED, the rings and thread image on the od are visible, but the dashed thread lines do not. I looked at every option. Did I miss it somewhere? Ive only been using 2010 for approx 1 month.

... and sometimes you have to switch to Draft Quality to force visibility.

...or toggle your hidden lines on/off. Another quirk... oops, I mean "feature."

The insert/model items/annotation/ cosm thd did work. It took a few tries and some goofy things happened (parts disappearing until I changed them to lightweight). The first time, it showed all cosmetic threads and tapped holes, but I could not hide the tapped holes I did not want to see. I tried again and it showed only the 2 cosmetic. Im not sure what I did different the second time. Anyway, I think I created most of this model when I had 2007, so im hoping that it all works correctly with everything I draw from now on in 2010.

Once again Limey....thank you sir

Note: before selecting the insert/model items/annotation/cosm thds as noted above, make sure that you have the layer set to PER STANDARD. If not, it will add the details in the layer you are currently in.
