2011 scenes and questions

I do alot of tool drawings that show the outside only of our products. U usually apply the material in the model, then bring the model into a drawing so I can get a high resolution image and save it as a pdf. The background is just white. Since ive installed 2011, when I bring the model into a drawing it seems that maybe the drawing is using a scene because it appears that the lighting is such that it blacks out half of the model. I dont remember 2010 using a scene in the drawing, but I could be wrong. I always use realview in the drawing also. I am attaching a 2 sheet pdf that shows the model and the drawing. Any input would be appreciated. This is the 1st time ive attached a file, so I hope it works.

Possibly a graphics driver issue. Did you update the driver after installing SW2011?

Check the settings under Tools > Options > System Options > Colors.

I updated it right before upgrading, but DR RX is telling me to update again. I will do that right now.

Well, That updating the driver didnt change anything.

ok...when realview is off, it does not do it, but I dont get that semi real look. Its almost like the lighting is not set right.

Judging by the attachment, I doubt it's a lighting issue, the segregation is too perfect.
How did you update? Proper procedure is to uninstall the old driver, reboot, install new driver, reboot.

Im going to try it on a coworkers machine and see what happens. I updated where sw RX lists the correct driver. downloaded, installed and rebooted. I didnt uninstall.

ok..I spoke the the sworks support. Most people probably dont use this so it wont be an issue. All drawings now have to use a scene. You will only notice it with realview on in a drawing. So, I have lost the ability to make a 5 minutes revolve, apply material, make a drawing and create pdf. I now have to use a scene (which I havent found one or been able to modify one that comes close)in the drawing, or use photoview360. Sworks has documented the problem already and is suppose to fix it next go around. We had a guy here install 2011 without telling anyone. He saved a large number of files in 2011, which forced the rest of us to upgrade. This is the reason I never install SP1. thanks guys.
