Recommended for you

1. Ask the nice plan reviewer for the section they are referencing to require.

2. Ask same nice person, is there a local amendment that covers it

3. Ask same nice person, do they mean monitoring only, and not all bells and whistles

901.6 Supervisory Service

Where required, fire protection systems shall be monitored by an approved supervising station in accordance with NFPA 72.

901.6.1 Automatic Sprinkler Systems

Automatic sprinkler systems shall be monitored by an approved supervising station.

The
System is fully montired and all.flows.and.tampers.are electrically connencted

All i m.looking for is there anyware i might have missed that states a fire alarm system is required in S1

Inspector is stateing sec 907.2 through 907.2 .23 requires S1 to have notifaction in warehouse ie horn and strobes

The above sections list all requirements for.all types of use group but does not list

S 1 or s2 so therefour it not required

1. Set down with inspector and book and ask him to point to where he says, the system is required

2. Or talk to his boss and ask boss where it is required

3. Should not matter, are you doing high piled stock,,,,or Big ass fans??

4. Local amendment ????

Two hvls fan with shutdown

And typical.rack.storage

No local.addmendments

The guy is dead wrong anda.will.not back.Down

And.owner wants.co

Check with the insurance carrier as to what they want since the owner will pay more premium for the life of the building. You may win the argument with the local officials but pay more insurance cost for property, liability and umbrella insurance coverage.

I would say yes, if something seen different at final inspection, than on plans.

Which inspector is this building or fire or other?

Do they have a boss,

If not start appeal and also

Keep going up the food chain, till you find intelligent life,
