24" Pipe Attached Directly to 10" Fired Heater Outlet Nozzle

Has anyone done revamp upgrade projects changing pipe size from 16" to 24" within same existing plant layout space?
Scope is remove 8 x 16" Outlet Lines into 36" Header, and replace with 24" Outlet Lines into 72" Header.
Also, layout must occupy the same existing layout space within plant.

Needs a sketch, but difficult to see how youre going to fit bigger pipes into the same space?

What size are you starting from?, 8", 10" or 16"?

Your title is asking different question to the text.

If only to increase the outlet piping size from 16” to 24” but not increase the 8” nozzle size, it may result a big bottleneck due to the small outlet nozzle. Make sense to replace the outlet nozzle with larger size at the same time.

Use a 24inch x 10inch piping tee instead of a regular concentric reducer for the 8 nos of 10inch connections at the fired heater ? Cap off one of the 24 inch tee ends.
