I am fairly new to PTC products and have been, for the most part, teaching myself how to use this software. I do have a question, though, that I could use some help with.
I have created a 3D assembly which consists of a standard assembly and several optional modules. I want to show the optional modules as "phantoms" on the 2D drawing without using shading. Currently the modules are shaded translucent in the 3D model to differentiate them from the standard. How can I select and change the line type or line weight for different parts in a single view within a 2D drawing?

What I do is under the layout tab, select model display then choose style from the menu manager and select the part you are after select ok then choose phantom. You can also hide components this way as well using the blank option. There are also slower ways that have a bit more flexibility using the line style option but I shy away from that as for me it is too problematic.

Hope that helps,
