2D EXCHANGE PROBLEMS

Hello all
I have multiple text strings in the title block of my drawing template which reads attributes. One of them <W@$SH_PART_NAME> displays the file name correctly in the drawing but does not show up when exported to DWG or DXF. I've tried exporting to both Modeling & Drafting. All the text strings & title block curves are on layer 1. I've tried Part Cleanup, Clean Drafting Objects. Does anyone have an idea why this one item doesn't export?

It's probably a bug. Your best bet is to call GTAC and get this logged.

A work around that's not pretty would be to take the 2D Exchange file (NX .prt) and export that as a CGM file. Import the CGM back into NX and then create a DWG/DXF from that. Not the best route, but better than nothing at all. Definitely not the way to go if you're wanting geometric integrity compared to the original geometry.

P.S. Please include the NX version when posting for help. Not a big deal this time, but it's a good habit to get into.

This was supposed to be fixed in 5.0.6.3. What version are you running?

I'm running version 5.0.4.1. I think. That's what it says in help.

Ok, I just went back and checked on a box running 5.0.6.3 and it works. So when you upgrade this problem should be resolved for you.
