Currently our company uses NX for all of our machine components but for 2D pneumatic drawings, many designers are reverting to older cad packages. What are others using for pneumatic drawings? If NX, can you outline the process / best practices?

We moved from ProE to NX about 2 years ago. We still don't have all our CAD data moved over yet. In ProE I would sketch pneumatic and plumbing schematics on the last sheet(s) of the top level assembly drawing file. This was done using ProE's 2D sketching functionality which is a poor tool for this purpose. I however liked having it linked directly to the assembly drawing.

In NX I am importing the ProE schematics into the last sheet(s) in my NX drawing file. I have not yet tried to generate any schematics in NX drawing sheets from scratch but I'm sure I will be doing so in the near future. I am hoping that NX will be better at 2d sketching than ProE was.

I am using 7.5.2.5 NATIVE on Dell with windows XP OS
