2x50% Battery configuration

Read the specification as below,
"The DC UPS shall consist of:
- 2x100% rated rectifier/charger in parallel operation through blocking diodes
- 2x50% rated battery (with battery chargers sized to charge both sets of batteries)"

When referring to "2x50% rated battery," it signifies that 50% of the load current and 50% of the battery backup time should be allocated for each battery bank. Is this interpretation correct?

I think is 50% of battery backup time.
Each "50%" battery bank must sustain nominal load current (al least).
