Good day,

We have received the PO from our client to supply Pipe line PIGS and during the PO review it was found with some ambiguity regarding certification clause that reads as: 3.1 certification and Third party inspection.

In my opinion, above should be read as: 3.2 certification and third party.

What is the difference between: 3.1 certification + Third party inspection(TPI) AND 3.2 certification + Third party inspection (TPI).

Regards

metboss,
An EN10204 3.1 Certificate must be validated by the Manufacturers Authorised Inspection Representative (who must be independant of the manufacturing department)

An EN10204 3.2 Certificate must be validated by the Manufacturers Authorised Inspection Representative (who must be independant of the manufacturing department)
AND
either the Purchasers Authorised Inspector or an Inspector designated by official regulations (eg. third party inspector)

Hope that helps,
Regards,
Kiwi

Kiwi,

As per your response, EN10204 3.1 and EN10204 3.2 are same??

Regards

metboss,
What does AND mean ? As well, plus, in addition to etc, etc.
I gave you the requirements of 3.1, 3.2 has additional requirements that I noted after the "AND".
Sorry, but I am struggling to see how you could possibly think they are the same.
Regards,
Kiwi

metboss: Yes, the contents is the same. The difference is the third party inspection.
