I use Pro/E 2001 and I was thinking about how to model a part such as a soccer ball or golf ball or geodesic sphere (or any sphere consisting of identical interlinking facets).

It seems like such a part could be constructed fairly easily using patterns and a spherical coordinate system, but I haven't had any luck.

Is any one out there up to the challenge?

Check out thread559-94460

It is on the SolidWorks forum, but there is info in it which you should be able to use.
