Hi,

1. When you have a weir inside the vessel, does the height of it usually be the same as the normal interface level? or in some cases it might be higher than the NIL ?

2. Is there like a rule of thumb on how you determine the position of the weir along the vessel shell length ?

3. is there also a rule of thumb on determining all the levels (LIL,NIL,HIL, LLL, NLL, HLL) inside a vessel for both light and heavy phases?

Thank you

The weir plate may generate a confined space and difficult the access for inspection. Hence one more inspection opening is required. This opening may be installed on the weir plate.

IMO, all these levels of the vessel are determined from the pilot study and based on the certain process conditions, such as flow, P&T, liquid property, etc. And, the weir height may be covered above HIL per the process needed.
