3 point bending test on concrete beam - Problem with time increment

Hi guys,

I am performing a static analysis for a simply supported three point bending test.

The beam is under displacement load control of -8 mm for U2 direction (vertical) through an amplitude 0,0 - 1,1.

My analysis was aborted several times

I am using the following:
Maximum number of increments: 100000
Increment size: Initial - 0.01
Minimum - 1E-005
Maximum - 0.05

Can you please advise me on what shall I change to make the model compete the analysis?

Thanks.

its impossible to say what might be the problem without more information.

what warning messages do you get? and what happens at 25% of the way through the step that might be causing problems. Have you looked at the results from the last converged increment? is the model behaving as expected?

Hi Dave,

Thank you for your reply.

I changed the increments of the simulation and there is another error only for the increments. The simulation cannot converged. The beam didn't even bend. PLease see below

your model has failed to converge. this could be due to any number of reasons. It's impossible to say what your problem might be as you have provided no information about your geometry/mesh/loads/BCS etc. and it is not clear from your images. Have you checked all warning and error messages?
