We are having an issue with a baghouse where catalyst leaks through the joining seams. The first idea was to seal weld the seams, but this would take up way to much time and money. Im looking for a DEPENDABLE product that we could poor in these seams to end our problem. The baghouse gets to a temperature of about 400*F. The tubesheet to be sealed is made out of 304ss. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

There are epoxies that will work at this temp but they are rigid with no give to them.
Welding is your only real solution.
Maybe you shouyld look at welding the major areas and then using epoxy to seal the rest.

We are using a product called OAKUM, it's holding up very well! We packed the Oakum and came back and put RTV over it and then tacked angle all the way down... So far no leaks! If this fails over time then we turn to welding...
