Does anyone know of any motor fuses rated for 3330V? The fuses are going to feed two wound-rotor motors at 287A each (50Hz).

First time I have done a job at 3330V or 50Hz...

As an aside I also need to track down some 3330V-120V, 50Hz potential transformers.

Regards,

UKpete,

Perfect. Thanks.

You can also try Ferraz Shawmut 5kV class of current limiting R-type fuses. Regardless of who's fuse you request, please keep in mind that most medium voltage motor controller vendors derate the fuse manufacture published ratings. The reason for this is that fuse manufacture ratings are based on different test requirements and set-up compared to those covering medium voltage controllers. Generally controller venders need to upsize the fuses.

Good Luck.

Also if you’re changing fuses on an existing controller, please be sure you use the same type. Not all MV fuses are built the same.
