This is my first question so lets get this one answered nice and quickly. :)

I am starting to play with 3d curved lines(splines). I am finding it impossible to get a smooth 3d line/spline with multiple points on it. (eg. the looped end of an extension spring) To draw somthing accurately i have to input tons of points and do the calculations manually for each point of how much it would move int eh x, y and z directions each point. Is their a way to write an equation for a 3d line in excel or vb or somthing, then i could use a loop of some sort to make the line do what i want.

Im using SW2k5 SP0.

You can write a XYZ in excel and import that into SW via Curve through XYX points. But you have to save your Excel file without any headers and as a *.txt file.

See help under the index tab on "Curve, through XYZ points" for further clarification.
