I work for a military vehicle manufacturer. My employer wants to 3d print our military vehicle. The chassis is tubular with various wall thickness' from .049" to .120" wall. I want to start with the chassis first before the body panels so I need to find an easy way to fill all tubes so they are solid tubes but maintain their interface cuts. I exported the chassis in a stp file and reopened it, so all tubes and plates are just bodies. They lost all their math data. I can't do this within team center because I can't risk changing the model. Is there a way to export the chassis that it comes out solid and tubes are connected?
Thanks

You don't have an automotive problem, you have a Catia or whatever problem I think. There are forums here for each CAD system
