Hello everyone, I have a topic I would to discuss.
What are some key issues that you can come up with for managing heat produced inside a custom built 3D printer enclosure?
I thought about making a system that slides open more or less depending on temp readings.
What are your thoughts?
Thank you very much.

Sounds sensible. Depending on temperature precision required - could be as simple as using a bi-metallic strip as an actuator. Pivots (eg louvres vs sliders) suffer less from stiction issues.

You need to figure out if you can remove enough heat just by varying the opening size or if you need active cooling. Could be as simple as a thermocouple reading as input to a fan PWM.
