Hello everyone,

I have created a 3D road profile using Road builder to simulate the driving of vehicle over a curbstone. I have created this obstacle by creating a step on the road. The height of the curb is 140 mm (For initial testing, i haven't made it very step).

When a maneuver is performed using '3D Road' with a constant speed of 10 km/h in 2nd gear, the vehicle behaves weirdly. Few meters ahead of the obstacle, the vehicle plunges into the road then comes out and jumps over the obstacle and goes further (as shown in the figures attached). The behavior is even worse when tried at higher speeds.

Can someone tell me, where have i done the mistake?

Thanks and Regards
Karthik

I haven't seen that problem, it could be that your initial conditions are wrong and the tire is over-penetrating from its equilibrium position. Test that by running it at 0 kph. The car should sit on the road surface, obviously.

I'm guessing you are using Car.

Cheers
