Which 3D software platforms are being used for bulk material handling plant drawing creation? We are a design engineer firm that designs and produces the following drawings:

[ul]
[li]Belt Conveyor Drawings[/li]
[li]Pneumatic Conveying Drawings[/li]
[li]P and ID Drawings[/li]
[li]Automation Drawings[/li]
[li]Electrical Drawings[/li]
[li]Steel and Concrete Structure Drawings[/li]
[/ul]

We do not do fabrication drawings. We do engineer design drawings that are passed onto a fabricator for detailed design.

We are looking to make the switch from AutoCAD 2D to a 3D Software and wondering which software other firms are using along with the pros and cons. Thanks

Your ACAD professionals should be able to do 3D projects. My ACAD students who came out of the street with just HS diplomas used to be able to to 3D projects in architectural and mechanical projects near the end of their program terms.
