We are in the process of choosing a 3D viewer for those here without NX to interrogate and mark up models. So far we have looked at UG's, SolidWorks and Adobe. Does anyone here have any experience with these? What would you recommend? TIA

Thanks, guys. So far Teamcenter Visualization is ahead, but we have yet to check out JT2Go. Will do so next week.

Note that JT2Go is sort of a Teamcenter Visualization 'junior' since in reality, it's based on TC Visualization, as described at the website I posted earlier.

I know that there is a free trial, but I don't know what the long term deal is. I would sign up for the free trial and see what happens.

Have you tried the Xpresreview from UGS?
You can download that one from UGS own site.

You can, from NX3 or NX4, save a part/assy as a package file. That will create a *.pcf file to be used with Xpresreview.

Of course, to make it possible to save to a package file, you have to buy a license from UGS.

But anyone can download the viewer and use the *.pcf files.

There was a free viewer a few months back. For the likes of me I cannot remember the name of it.

plmexchange, didn't you have it linked on your web site once?

The one I am thinking of wasn't jt2go. I'll have to search around and find it. I know I gave the link out to a few engineers here and the boss to see if it was a better alternative to what we currently use. Didn't hear anything after that though.
