Hi ,

I am trying to compare the results of a 3D analysis to 1D analysis for a 3 span continuous bridge (60'-75'-60'). I have placed a point load of 1kips on the centre of the intermediate span of the 1D model.. while i have a wheel loads (0.5 +0.5)kips on the centre of the intermediate span of the 3D FE model.

1) I am unable to get the same moment.. infact the moment in the 1D model is twice that from 3D model...

any suggestions..

Your total (sum of all moments in all stingers) MY moment from the 3-D model should be almost equall to the moment from 1-D model, or check your input data.
