Hello to all. I want to ask if you can suggest a vendor with portable earthing devices for 400kV substations. Take in mind that our plant is located in Greece. Here i find it very difficult to locate one.

Could you please elaborate more about portable earthing devices for 400kV substations? I am not sure about the practicality and cost effectiveness of the suggested portability for ground grid components (earthing devices)

If the plant is moved to different location, there is a good chance that the site conditions in term of soil resistivity and area may be different than the previous location.

The best that could be achieved is to recover ground rods and ground grid conductor after re-excavate the area. Even if the grid is done with bolted connection appears the effort of recover the buried materials may not be cost effective especially for 400 kV systems.

If Stratford is referring to portable earths applied prior to issuing a permit to work for releasing particular items of plant then the following company may be able to help. They produce portable earthing equipment for both substation and overhead line work approved to UK National Grid Company standards.
