What is the difference in a part / fitting made with by A276 standard or one made by the A479 standard and is one acceptable for the other?

Using it in a boiler or pressure vessel? Go with SA-479.

Thanks for the reply.... The material is used in piping for crude oil refining (sour service).
 
LDOG, if you are working to a Code, you should confirm the subject material is permitted by that Code.

Took a quick look at ASME B31.3 and the only SS barstock material listed in Table A-1 is A479 Grade 304.

Doesn't mean you can't use other grades of material but they would be considered unlisted and it's up to you to qualify them per Code (para 323.1).

If you want to use a Code listed material, you might consider A182-F6a (410 SS forgings) as these materials are listed in Table A-1 of B31.3.

Might also want to review requirements in NACE MR0103 for refinery sour service requirements for these materials.
