4130 Steel and Poisson's Ratio 1

When I select 4130 steel as my material for COSMOS, there is no value for Poisson's ratio, and it is assumed to be zero. When I change my material to 1020 steel, Poission's ratio is set to 0.29. I am concerned with stiffness, not strength, so I do not mind analyzing 1020. I do want some sort of sanity check.

Does no Poissoin's ratio for 4130 steel make sense?

In SW2010 there are2 values for poisson's:
4130 annealed @ 865 => 0.285
4130 normalized @ 870 => 0.285
4130 annealed => 0.285
4130 normalized => 0.320
I have found that for many materials in Solidworks they are to some degree incomplete.

I am on 2007 here, and it provides a value of zero. Maybe this is not a CAD question so much as a metallurgy and mechanics of materials question.

I don't know why they would put a value of 0 in but using 0.29 will give you good results. For poissan's to equal 0 the material would shrink to nothing when stretched.
