Does anybody have or know about a standard for 4130 steel? I need to have a copy look at its mechanical data for comparison with A351 Gr. CF8M. Thanks!

In addition to what swall mentioned, do you realize the scope of ASTM A351 specification? This specification is for Castings that are Duplex stainless steel, and austenitic stainless steel. Why are you comparing this to 4130?

Hi Carlo,
Look ASTM A 958, you can find mechanical propierties for 1020, 1025, 1030, ......4130, 4140, .....8625 and 8630. But, It`s good question, why you compare CF8M whit 4130?.
Anyway, if you need mechanical propierties of 4130 Q & T, what it`s the HB?, On it depends all.
