Could anyone tell me where it's exactely written in ASME VIII Div.1 the fact of 454 °C temperature's limit reported in the thread above? thanks

Section II-D. L-grade stainless such as SS316L and SS304L is only good to 850F (454C). Standard and H-grade stainless is good to 1500F.
