I would like to quote the sentences of the 49 cfr 192.503 and 49 cfr 195.305

"The component was manufactured under a quality control system that ensures that each item manufactured is at least equal

Does this mean for a manufacturer - EACH size of Tees needs to be hydro tested at the shop/manufactured place so that the CLIENT does NOT have to hydro test in the field?

Not easy to say.

I would look at the sizes tested and so long as you fall on or between tested sizes then your risk is low. Say they test 12, 24, 36" and you're buying a 30" then you're covered.

But if e.g. they only tested a 12" size and you're buying a 30" or 36" then you're out in the weeds a bit too much.

It's all about risk reduction and vendor responsibility.

The ideal is that each item is hydrotested, but that's often not feasible.
