id like to model a long 50 ohm cable in orcad layout
There is a module called 'tlossy' for transmission line modeling.
Tlossy seems to work under fixed conditions..
However, Id like to have the power supply on one side of the cable.
Then on the other side, a load. The low side of the load is not grounded but turns back through the shield and returns to the power supply ground.
Ive attached a figure.
Orcad complains about floating nodes if I don't ground the load side.
The only way to fix it is by grounding the shield side on the load side.
This is not the way the system will work though.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it or model it?
